This year's herb walk will take us to a new location near Ederswiler in the canton of Jura. The expert guidance of herbalist Manuela Häfliger remains unchanged. This year, the focus will be on the ribwort plantain. We will learn interesting facts about this versatile plant, collect it, and process it.
Programme
We arrive in Ederswiler on Friday lunchtime and go on a gentle herb walk with Manuela (approx. 2 hours walking time). We will collect herbs along the way and have a picnic. If the weather is good, we will have a campfire.
We'll be travelling together for a total of about 4 hours.
In the evening, we will process the gathered herbs and eat together.
We will be staying overnight in the Sunnäberg camp in dormitory rooms. On Saturday morning, we will undertake another joint outdoor activity before beginning our journey home around midday.
ArrivalWe are meeting on Friday, 26/06/26 at 9:45 AM at the meeting point at Basel SBB station.
Return journeyWe will be back in Basel on Saturday 27.06.26 in the early afternoon.
Take awayLunch for Friday, snacks, water bottle, sleeping bag, good shoes, rain protection, cloth bag for collecting plants, sun cream, possibly travel pillow and walking sticks.
The costs for the train journey, accommodation, dinner and breakfast, as well as the option to make sandwiches for Saturday lunch, are covered by the contact point for unemployed people.

Please register bindingly by 22.6.26, as there are only a limited number of places and we will be purchasing a group ticket. When registering, please provide your contact details and whether you have a GA or Halbtax.
