Developing a theater piece together

Turning point Winter Solstice

For thousands of years, people around the world have celebrated the Winter Solstice, the longest and darkest night of the year. Customs and rituals accompany this special turning point. They invite us to pause during the cold season, to say goodbye to darkness and to welcome the light.

Together, we want to approach this topic through techniques from dance and theater and develop our own piece. To do this, we meet every Wednesday evening starting in mid-October. After two months of joint work, we will stage the scenes created during the festival as part of a small winter festival.

We are looking for contributors! Everyone is welcome. No dance or theater experience is required, and participation is free. If you would like to join or are not yet sure if you like this idea, just come to the first introductory training:

Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 18:30 – 20:30

in the City Service Center, Vogesenstrasse 110

Workshop guide: Marianela Leon Ruiz
