June 2019
Manuela Häfliger, has once again taken us into the wonderful world of plants on the St. Margarethenberg this year. This year, the goldenrod took centre stage. We learnt interesting facts about this plant, what properties and effects it has and each collected a little of it to make a tincture. On another section of the trail, we wanted to pay particular attention to our perceptions and senses, as a trip into the mountains like this is always a contemplative experience and one that goes deeper.
Arrival on the St. Margarethenberg at the idyllic Buure Beizli above Bad Ragaz on Friday afternoon. Walks and rest around the Buure Beizli refresh the mind. The Buure Beizli also had a farm shop with its own produce for sale. We spent the night here in the dormitory, now with beds. Dinner on Friday evening and breakfast on Saturday morning were also served in the Buure Beizli. On Saturday, after the hike up to Alp Maton, Rita was waiting for us with a delicious lunch with products from the region.
