Why is this tree growing here? Forests and trees are often ascribed something timeless and naturally healthy. On a walk through the woods in the Muttenz/Münchenstein recreation area, we also looked at the cultural-historical and silvicultural colours behind the greenery. Some 40 years after completing an apprenticeship as a forest warden with the Bürgergemeinde Münchenstein, Lukas Hebeisen, now an HFF forester, was eager to return to the forests of his youth.
