From 13 to 17 June 2026, the international «Journey for Peace» will take place. Representatives from France, Germany and Switzerland will visit various locations, jointly addressing peace policy issues and current societal challenges. The conclusion of this journey will take place in Basel, as part of the following public event.
Wars, rearmament, and geopolitical tensions once again shape the present political landscape. What avenues for action do we have in light of these developments? What experiences and lessons can be drawn from over a hundred years of peace movements? And what challenges do today's peace initiatives face?

«War is on our doorstep – what can we do concretely?»
The subsequent panel discussion provides space for critical discussions and the exchange of views on peace policy perspectives and courses of action today. The moderation will be led by Prof. Dr. Ueli Mäder. Afterwards, we warmly invite you to a small apéritif.
